Living in a bustling city like London has its perks, but sometimes, what we truly need is a break from the fast-paced metropolitan routine and the tranquility of the countryside. That’s exactly what I did this week. I spent two days in one of England’s most luxurious farmhouse hotels!

Soho Farmhouse:

Nestled within 100 acres of Oxfordshire’s picturesque countryside, Soho Farmhouse is an exclusive members’ club that offers an idyllic retreat for those seeking solace and relaxation. With ten garden rooms, forty cabins, a four-bedroom house, and a seven-bedroom farmhouse, the club boasts an array of luxurious accommodations. Its amenities include the Hay Barn, the Main Barn, and the Mill Room for dining and drinks, a Boat House with heated indoor and outdoor pools, the Cowshed Relax spa with steam and sauna rooms, and the Cowshed Active with a fitness center and studio. The Electric Barn hosts a cinema, and guests can enjoy tennis courts, a five-a-side football pitch, horse stables, clay pigeon shooting, and a Teeny Barn and Camp for the little ones.

Accommodation:

During our stay, we were fortunate to stay in cabin 40C, which offered a prime location and ample space. With two bedrooms, a spacious living area, two bathrooms, and a well-equipped kitchenette, the cabin exuded charm and comfort. As an added bonus, we were provided with two bikes to explore the vast farm estate.

Spa Experience:

The Soho Farmhouse Spa offered a delightful retreat, although we believe it would be even more enchanting in the summer. The facilities include a pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, various massage treatments, and more. Although time constraints prevented us from experiencing a massage, we are certain it is a highly worthwhile indulgence.

Horseback Riding Adventure:

For me, horseback riding was an extraordinary experience! As a child, my family often visited my grandfather’s farm, and I cherished playing with the animals. My grandfather would gift me a toy horse every time I visited, and it was a cherished memory. However, as I grew older, I yearned for the opportunity to ride a real horse.

When we arrived at Soho Farmhouse, my sister-in-law and I immediately decided to book a horseback riding excursion. It was truly worth it! The one-hour ride allowed us to embark on an exhilarating journey, surrounded by the picturesque countryside.

Culinary Delights:

The Farmhouse boasts a selection of charming restaurants, each with its unique appeal and friendly staff. The three main restaurants offer British, Italian, and Japanese cuisine. We had the pleasure of dining at the British and Italian restaurants, both of which impressed us with their delectable offerings. The breakfast spread was equally delightful, offering an array of options to suit all tastes.

Conclusion:

Soho Farmhouse provided an extraordinary escape from the urban hustle and bustle, offering a perfect blend of luxury and tranquility. From the picturesque surroundings to the delightful horseback riding and sumptuous dining experiences, every moment at the Farmhouse was unforgettable. If you’re seeking a retreat to rejuvenate your mind and soul, I highly recommend this oasis in the heart of the English countryside.
